Easter in Puglia: visit Alberobello!

Alberobello is a small town in the middle between Bari and Taranto and represents the best known image of Puglia in the world, thanks to its Trulli. Located in the heart of Murgia, Alberobello is surrounded by three natural reserves.

Easter in Puglia is very peculiar in Alberobello: dry stone walls, narrowed streets are the perfect frame for the Passion reproduction, in which actors and spectators perform the walk of Christ toward the Golgotha.

The community of S.Antonio of Alberobello reproduce this scenes every year with passion and enthusiasm, offering to the public a strong and deep occasion to rethink about the spiritual side of our lives. Both Catholic believers and atheist feel passionate about this moment, as an artistic, spiritual and cultural moment.

This event attract lots of visitors coming from all Italy. More than two hundred appearances play their role through the stones and the olive trees, evoking the moment: a old new myth that relives in every Good Friday, every year, beyond space and time.
